RHINOPLASTY
An hour and a half.
It is an outpatient procedure (discharge the same day).
General anesthesia.
Most patients return to their daily activities in 7 days. A nasal splint is left in place for 2 weeks. Nasal tampons are not used, which reduces discomfort in the postoperative period.
They’re permanent.
Pain is minimal.
Ecchymosis, bleeding, infection, irregularities.
Once facial growth is complete, generally after the age of 15. Each case needs to be evaluated separately.
